I just watched the documentary entitled 180* South. If you have not seen it do so. It is on Netflix instant right now. It is about a guy recreating recreating the 1968 journey of Yvon Chouinard and Douglas Tompkins to Patagonia.

Been a bit of discussion about this movie here before – but I agree great movie worth watching. Awesome visuals, and overall motivating content to watch.

I enjoyed this movie, but I enjoyed the post-viewing Netflix recommendation of DEEP WATER even more. This documentary about Donald Crowhurst's attempt at sailing solo and unsupported was riveting. The fellow sailors competing in this contest also can relate to many of us (the dreamer, the goal oriented person, etc.)

Warning, not exactly a happy-go luck viewing! (Don't want to give anything away)

I second the recommendation on Deep Water. If you want to read more about the 1968 Golden Globe Race (not only Crowhurst, but the whole motley-crew of entrants), I strongly recommend the book "A Voyage for Madmen." That book made me dream about sailing and the ocean for years. It does again, now that I think about it… :)

I love that quote
