My current system is a GG 1/8th thinlite and yoga hand towel. The pad doubles as a foot pad for my hammock. I'm looking for something lighter, more packable, and good performance.
It should be sticky, weatherproof, and provide minimal protection from pointy rocks/roots.
I was thinking of trying to combine tyvek with a light foam layer.
Any ideas?

Sometimes I take one along to go under my mat.. they are pretty light as you know.
I'm getting older though, it would have been fine in my early twenties.. I need a good sleep now without waking up feeling sore.
