Next month I am doing a two week trip in the San Juans that starts and ends in Creede. I am looking for a safe place to park my car during the trip. I was wondering if any one has some suggestions. I thought about parking my car at a forest service trailhead but I don't feel safe parking it in a remote place for two weeks. I was hoping to find some place to park in town where it is less likely to vandalized. I would even be willing to pay for a place to park.

ask to park there. offer cash. if they are too stupid to take money, try a gas station.
a bene may also be that your car will be right at the motel when you get back so you can roll into town, have a beer, rest, clean up, and have a beer. it's all right at the same spot usually.the economy is trash.
money talks.v.
