So the Xpac Rockywoods are selling seems to be different weights/stiffness between each colour.

From reading threads here on BPL grey seems to be tough while green and orange are lighter? (please correct me if I'm wrong!)

Has anyone used the black? If so how does it compare to the grey/green/orange?

Thankyou!

As far as I understand it,

Black, Grey, Red, and Blue = VX21

Orange and Green = VX07

I used the green xpac on a frameless pack recently — it's super tough stuff, so I wouldn't worry about it not being burly enough. But, I believe you're right, the black and grey are supposed to be a little heavier / tougher.

Thanks for the feedpack – As I thought.

Its a shame the lighter colours are so bright, I wanted to make a more subdued pack …. maybe the blue then.

My order from Rockywoods came this week with some of the Dark Blue xpac, it turns out that it is VX21 and not VX07. I was a little disappointed since I called and asked if the dark blue had the same rip stop face fabric as the orange and kiwi, which I was told it did. So only the Orange and Kiwi from Rockywoods is VX07.

Thanks for the information Chris, even though it wasn't the information you wanted.

Once again thanks for confirming that for me!

As it turns out there is no way for rockywoods to ship 2 yards fabric to the UK for less than $35! So i'll be using extremtextil in Germany!
