One of the things on my covet list is a good down jacket, but the cost has just been too prohibitive. Altrec has this jacket on sale for $107. That's in my price range! 11 oz seems kind of high, and I'm a large size, so it might be heavier. I would take this instead of my micro-fleece that weighs 6 oz for warmth on my JMT trip. What do you think?

Just bought one for myself and another for my wife via Sierra Trading Post. I've only tried it on in the house so far (I'm not ready to wish the summer away just to try out a new jacket) and won't be able to give it a good test until fall at the earliest. I fall between a large and XL – went with an XL and it definitely has plenty of room to layer underneath, but I'm not sure I'll want that, so it might be a little too big for me. Construction quality seems very nice and the stuff sack it comes with is a nice added touch.
Tough to beat that price (that's what we paid for ours on STP as well).
