(Sorry for any thread hijack.) You can meter with it, surprisingly, though it's not as accurate as maybe I would want. It's very difficult to see the image through the viewfinder. Outdoor full sunlight exposures are around 1/4 second at ISO 800 (!). Nothing is sharp or in focus, really, but everything in the frame is exactly the same amount of softness — like it has infinite depth of field but no real sharpness. The focal length is 11mm, so it's very wide, and just begs for strong foreground subjects and that near/far perspective. In my mind the best settings are square format b+w on the GF1.
I'm taking it to Utah later this month. Should be a blast in the canyons.
