COOL!!!!
This marks great progress. I remember having to search high and low a couple of years ago to find some DRGs for CA. Now the entire nation in one place, searchable!
Of course, the 11MB TIFF files (the one I pulled at random are still a bit, um, cumbersome. Took about 5 minutes to download at the office (much higher speed line than at home).
A free easy-to-use Topozone-like site, using tiled PNGs, with good web apis (like Google Maps) would be nice. Anybody aware of anything like that out there? In the works?
Oh, and if that could be combined with the DEM data so I can mouse-over a point and see elevation, with the ability to trace our routes, with elevation profiles. Those would be good, too :-).
