I am looking for the lid of a Jetboil PCS. I plan to use it on my Snow Peak 700.

They fit great but will melt while boiling water with the lid on. Happened to me twice, once with alcly stove and once with my GigaPower.

I have the large JB pot (no JB stove). To get the d@mn lid on in cool/cold weather I had to take a pocket knife and shave quite a bit off the inner ridge around the lid edge.

The coefficient of liner expansion of the plastic they use is pretty high and it shrinks like mad in the cold. BJ needs to address this problem with a different hi-temp plastic.

As for the bottom "lid" that protects the heat exchanger fins I cut out the center because it's unnecessary. Again, JB needs to look at this for weight savings. Perhaps, Like Primus, they could spot weld a wire on the circumference of the fins to protect them instead using a lid. (Hmmmm???)

Why dont they melt on the jet boil stove I would think the cozy would hold in the heat and make it worse Just wondering cause at 1 tenth of an oz more in weight it snaps on nice and stays on and you can drink out of the 700 mug I was really excited
