For those interested in what an Alaskan style packraftingh trip can look like, there's a guest post at "Hiking in Finland" (http://www.hikinginfinland.com/2011/05/we-were-party-train-on-errand.html), an addition at "The Roaming Dials" (http://packrafting.blogspot.com/2011/05/guest-blog-at-hiking-in-finland.html) and a route description too (http://packrafting.blogspot.com/2011/05/triple-all-across-gates.html).

Photos and text and a crude map.

Roman,

Truely story telling that captured not only what was thought but what was felt… EXCELLENT!

Thanks Richard. Hearing that is encouraging, particularly from a BPL community member like you.

Roman,
Thanks for putting this together, an inspired piece of work. I enjoyed this so much more than the bland treatment of Andy's trip in NG.

The concept of swinging leads on trail finding and the analogy with climbing was great.

Also loved the "gram-wise and hour-silly" concept which I think most of us who don't get out enough always struggle with. Learn to love my Open Country pot…….

Thanks again
John
