Haven't been for a few months, but…
Don't stress about getting lost. You're in a continuous canyon the whole way, rarely losing sight of the river. At worst, you'll just have to bushwhack around a little on the opposite side of a crossing, but it would be pretty hard to get lost out there.
There couldn't be an easier place to backpack in my book. Walk until you're done walking and set up camp. Enjoy.
