Anyone have a suggestion for a screw top bowl/water bottle?

I have gotten my kitchen kit down to just a mug pot and an alky stove and I do all my eating and tea/coffee drinking out of my mug pot. But as I plan for my CDT thru-hike I have been considering adding another mug/cup so that I can eat and drink hot drink at the same time to save time (especially breakfast), as well as being able to use a slightly larger pot (0.9 vs. 0.6 L) for my larger thru-hiker appetite.

My question is, does anybody have any ideas for a ~14-16 oz plastic bowl/cup/jar/bottle that has a wide mouth and a screw on lid? I would like this piece of gear to be multiple use as a water bottle to supplement my platy bladder and I was thinking I could rehydrate bulger salads for lunch in it too while I walk if it had a wide mouth. I found an empty peanut butter jar yesterday that I thought was perfect size and shape, but it doesn't seem to hold its shape when boiling water is added (funny experiment this evening). It was recycle symbol 1, which I have since learned is NOT good for hot water.

Whether the item is food safe at boiling water temperatures is obviously very important. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

And FWIW, I tried eating out of the ziplock bags during my PCT hike and quickly found that it is both unpleasant and easy to spill on my down sleeping bag (4 nights from Mexico). I respect that other people eat out of them, but I would rather eat out of the pot.

What about something like this? I have something similar that's under an ounce without lid and the lid is about 1/2 ounce.

I like the idea of the ziplock jars a lot, but I wouldn't trust them inside my pack full of water. No problem in a side pocket. We use them for workday lunches for soups and leftovers.

Peanut butter jar.

Rubbermaid Takealong- made in several sizes including 2 cup size.

You can use almost anything made of polypropylene (Symbol 5, I think) since it melts around 140-160 celsius, and is BPA free. Remember, the wider the lid, the harder it is to seal, and anything with a flange inside the lid should seal better.

Maybe try yoghurt or fruit jars with a screw on lid. They seem to be polyprop rather than PET (symbol 1) for some reason.

Nalgene do a 500ml screw lid jar. Bomber sealability, but it's heavy.

Also consider a Large (12oz) or XLarge (14oz) Keepcup (reusable coffee cup) They're pretty light, and pretty well sealed. I wouldn't squash one into my pack, but I would drop one in an outside pocket

The rubbermaid takelong is pretty good. Its awesome as a water bottle, in my experience, no worse sealability that a platy or equivalent large mouth water bag. Somewhat limited capacity, wouldn't be good in arid areas. Its good with a cozy, and works brilliant for coffee in particular. Finally, they're cheap, tough, disposable, and I believe they have markings.

Just a thought: if you find a jar that works, but might leak, you could probably make a better seal by running a bead of silicone caulking around the inside of the lid. Smooth with a wet finger, and let cure before you put the lid back on. Of course, I haven't actually tried this, but silicone caulking will easily withstand boiling water, and most kinds are food-safe when cured.
