1. That's one hell of a wooden sign.
2. Best spacial relation pic of the Trailstar yet. IMO

I am hoping to get back on the OHT next week!
Apr 10, 2011 at 6:36 pm #1722948Right on Ben! Excellent write up. How about that "Buffalo Sweat" eh? *bleh.
That abbreviated foray into the beautiful and misty Ozarks was memorable on many levels- thanks for making it happen.
Apr 11, 2011 at 10:14 am #1723164How deep is the water at the first creek crossing? We attempted to hike from Lake Ft. Smith in November, but the fast-moving channel at the far side did not look safe so we decided to turn around. We went back two weeks ago and started from the other side, and made it to the creek crossing. It still didn't look safe from up close, although we weren't planning to cross it this time anyway. Maybe we're just wimps?
Apr 12, 2011 at 12:33 pm #1723658Jon, it was about knee deep at the worst. It look more dangerous than it was. I was ready for a bit of a fight, but it was no biggie.
