Folks,
Is it better to have one or two large pot/caldera cone/alcohol stove or many small ones for primarily freezer bag cooking for larger groups?
I'm leading a group of 8 family members on a trip to Yellowstone in late August. Hoping to save weight by using Caldera cones with the inferno insert or just simple alcohol stoves and wind screens otherwise.
Considering weight, volume, and boil times, is it best to take four smaller cones/stoves (.9L, .7L ish) or try to purchase one or more 1.3L cones? Nobody wants to wait too long for their supper after hiking!
