Finally I made my LW candle light.
I copied and modified an idea from Scott Ashdown :

my version is not multi use but at 1 oz is not a bad stand alone solution.
Made from scrap material, it is just a cut down Gatorade 600ml bottle, a drinking yogurt bottle , a couple of grommets and some hanging wire.
The opaque collar is to keep the candle in the center of the yogurt bottle and is glued at the base with some silicone.
I found that when the candle is well into the burn , it should be about 8" (20cm) from the fabric , too hot otherwise.
It is water cooled. The water is poured in between the two containers.
I have had a previous version burning for many hours without any problem but of course test your at length before trusting it in the wild.
The yogurt container was meant to diffuse the flame but it is diffusing more than I want it.
The previous version with clear container sanded down a bit worked better.
However it is not meant to be a reading light, just to burn some condensation and add a little bit of warmth and some ambient light .

I will be posting a video on You Tube, just for my own amusement.

Nice! I was thinking, could you just glue the inner cup to the bottom of the outter cup and eliminate the grommets? You could just punch holes at the top for a hanger. I think I'm gunna make one. I usually pack a tea candle for ambient light but a proper lantern would be nice.
Franco,
Have you been able to use this yet in conditions where you could make an educated guess about whether there is less condensation in a single wall shelter with a candle?
I think a lot of people would carry 1 oz to help with condensation.

This particular project looks almost decent but generally my DIY thingos are just meant to stimulate someone else to make a better version..
You are correct about just gluing the bottom. (there is no heat build up there.)Mostly I did it that way because it was the first thing I visualised and I kind of like those two large grommets.

I used the first version one night inside the Moment. I had it on for probably about two hours I was in for about 1 before I put that out. Not sure if it did dry the top or not but it was dry and I should have had some condensation there from my very healthy lawn (best rain in years…)
Later fiddling with it I managed to burn the nylon string that was holding the prototype so I changed that to the wire.
You could also add a reflector but I wanted to keep it very simple.
