I put this out there every 6 months and it is about that time again so I thought I would ask. Does anyone know of a model of an eVent Rain Jacket that is made for big and tall people by having about a 37" sleeve length and at least a 28" torso length? Thanks.

Brett,

I have a Packa in eVent in XL that is pretty big. My arms aren’t quite as long as yours, but the sleeves bunch up on me.

I’m not interested in selling it but I’d be happy to ship it to you to try on as long as you return it pretty quickly. You might also want to contact Eddie (Cedartree) to see what he might be able to do for you.

PM me if you’re interested.

Brett,

Westcomb (www.westcomb.com) makes great eVent jackets. I need 37 in sleeves, and a Westcomb XL is just a tad small. I see that the company now offers a 2XL, which would probably work. You might have to live with a bit of blousiness in the chest, but that's the dilemma that all of us tall, long-armed guys face. Not cheap (Westcomb was founded by Arc'teryx alumni who took their pricing philosophy with them) but great stuff.

If you're not set on eVent, you might consider Gore-Tex Pro Shell, which I think is almost as good. Norrona's falketind shell (in 2XL) is the first rain shell I've owned that's been long enough in the sleeves. See my review at http://www.BackpackGearTest.org/reviews/Rain%20Gear/Jackets%20and%20Pants/Norrona%20falketind%20GTX%20Pro%20Shell%20Jacket/Owner%20Review%20by%20Richard%20Lyon/

Thanks for the tip on Westcomb. I think I looked at them earlier and the XL was too small but the XXL should work. I would probably go with the Cruiser LT but have to save up some money first if I decide to buy it. Thanks.
