I take it we're talking bands to serve as insulation for the lips when drinking from the mug/pot?

I suppose a Fosters beer can could be used for comparison, it's just slightly larger in diameter than the MLD mug, such that the MLD mug fits somewhat closely inside the foster's can. The take-home here, is that if a ring fits a fosters pot, it should fit an MLD mug…reasonably speaking.

Hello

I use the common silicon wristbands. The last one I got from a grocery store for a one dollar donation for a kids charity.

Thanks guys…looks like I'd I get the thing in hand ill be able to find something. Now if only I could find a coffee cup lid for the thing…..

I’ve been using the Trail Designs band with my Trapper and it works fine. I had the same desire for a coffee cup sipper lid to go along with it and eventually stumbled into the Evernew 355 mug and lid combo (

AntiGravity Gear Link to ECA355

).

I’m using mine with a Caldera cone. There are some photos here:

In short, I really like it. The Evernew’s lid & handles are nice additions with minimal weight penalty. It is a little smaller than the Trapper, though so volume is limited. Its the perfect size for solo rehydration meals and it can still handle a block of crushed ramen reasonably.

My wife got about 50 Livestrong bracelets left over from a charity and I use them for everything.
In this picture there is one around the middle of my woodstove (out of view)which helps it nest very tightly inside my MLD 475. I also use it on the lip of the ti mug.

Firemug Guidelite

Has anyone used the Ti-goat carbon fiber lids for these small mugs? (475-500ml) The diameter of the mug and the base of my firemug are identical so I should be able to use it as a lid for the whole assembly. I am wondering if they are tight at all or just kind of sit on top.

I use the TiGoat CF lid on my BPL Trappers mug. It is light weight, works well, high quality of craftsmanship, and fits nicely.

I have just received the Ti Goat CF lid for the 550ml mug.
It is 5mm deep so it pops in and stays in . Empty you can turn the mug upside down and it stays in place..
Very light, (about 5g) easy to remove .

that lid is sweet…i wonder if they've considered making it a lid you can sip from too?

thanks to everyone else as well!
