Does anyone know of any 'slimmer' cut pants? I'm not talking uber fashionista or anything, but I'd like pant legs that aren't huge around my legs. I'm thinking maybe something cut like Levi 514 or 517s but with articulated knees and maybe convertible…

I really like the fabric on REI's new Endeavour series as well.

Cheers

Check out Patagonia Rock Guide Zip Off pants, they're convertible and have articulated knees- the original Rock Guide pants are popular. Patagonia usually has conservative styling in terms of cut, opting for the close active fit over the baggy 'street' clothes fit. The Rock Guides are a "Regular" cut which usually for Patagonia means they're a straight leg fit, roomy for functionality, but not overly so.

And Arc'Teryx Rampart Pants. I picked up a 2d pair yesterday at REI on sale for $44 (a tan color from last year)

You might look at Montbell.
I can't stand baggy pants. The REI Sahara pants that so many love are like parachute pants on me.
I've got the Montbell UL winpants and the stretch windpants. Both fot me pretty well.

I took my pants that didn't fit but were made out of expensive materials and just downsized them with a french seam I learned on here.

This is my favorite way to downsize merino wool sweaters from good will now too. No more hobo fit for me and all the savings I could dream of!

Mountain Equipment Stretchlite Guide pants. They look like a normal, smart pair of trousers, but have enough stretch for technical stuff. Windproof, supplex nylon with a DWR.
