I'm not sure I get the snoring joke. Anyway, I didn't even fall asleep.
I just made a list of over 20 overnight/weekend-length backpack trips within an hour and a half drive of my house. Some are only 10 minutes drive away. Perhaps if I work my way through the list I can restore a sense of myself as the secret wood nymph I felt I was back when I was hiking alone for days in the forests of the PCT.
