I am looking to make a ground cloth for my backpacking tent to save weight. Anyone know where I can get a small piece for just that purpose at a reasonable price? I checked Home Depot and they only sell it by the roll.

Feb 24, 2011 at 7:14 pm #1701290There are two types of Tyvek that people use.
There is Tyvek paper (type 10) and there is Tyvek fabric (type 14). Most of the Tyvek on the market is the hard (paper) form. I prefer the fabric for groundsheets.

AntiGravity Gear sells it by the foot.Feb 24, 2011 at 7:47 pm #1701297I bought some from Montanasoft on ebay several weeks ago. He sold it in 9' wide and you pay by the foot. For 3×9, I paid $6.30 including shipping. Arrived within the week.
