    I think this is an awesome picture, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where it was taken.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks.

    p.s. Just wanted to add the link. It's pretty Hi-Res.

    Hi Trevor. Thanks.

    I was kind of being a wise guy. I was hoping someone could have told me the country, but when I got your reply I had to do a little research. And then the next reply was in German. Oh, well.

    I appreciate your help, though. I understand now it is in Southern Germany. I found a picture from another angle. Also, below this photo is a map with an arrow that depicts is approx location.

    @sol

    Well, balm is not really a german word itself. I couldn't find out why the lake actually is called balmsee.

    But according to the German Wikipedia, balm it is either celtic and means cave or grot or rock face, or it comes from the swiss the noble lineage of "Balm". Who used to live in middle Switzerland in the 13th and 14th century.

    I hope that helps.
