For the Australians – I was in Paddy Pallin in Melbourne tonight and they had the Mountain Hardware Phantom 32 at half-price, $250 odd. They may be available on-line, or in their shops in other cities.
Also, if you want a cheap eVent jacket, check this out – it's a very well regarded brand and these are hundreds of dollars cheaper than any other eVent available in Australia, or any Gore-Tex for that matter:
