My overseas trip last year was my first with more than one battery powered device.
I deliberately bought a little MP3 player which used one AAA battery because my GPS uses AAA batteries. I would use the new batteries in the GPS first then run them down in the MP3 player (which may be why it crashed !).
I bought a camera that uses AA batteries to avoid carrying a battery charger and thinking I could buy them as I needed them but soon realised that they get sucked dry very quickly and that re-chargeables last much longer. So I humped around a battery charger for the AA’s which fortunately is smallish and lightish but it also meant I had to carry a powerpoint adapter !
For the first time I travelled with a camcorder which surprisingly was a lot of fun and gave me a ‘project’ to do during the trip. I had to hump around its battery charger and the only consolation was I could use a part of it with the AA charger.
Any ideas on battery solutions ?
Is there a ‘super charger’ that can charge every type of battery ? (fat chance).
