Feb 6, 2011 at 6:10 pm #1693366Kevin, I bought the Integral Designs Siltarp 1. I am not wondering if a bigger tarp would be beter, for instance the GG Silltwin tarp….most space etc. Just thinking out loud. I am going to work on pitching tomorrow. I need micro tensioners and I went to Down Works in Santa Cruz with no luck and then drove over the hill to REI..no luck!
Thoughts on a larger tarp
Feb 6, 2011 at 6:17 pm #1693368This is the dude who taught me. Pretty simple and works every time. See you all at Coe!

Feb 6, 2011 at 6:18 pm #1693369Micro tensioners. Won't a taughtline hitchwork with your guyline? No added cost or weight.
Feb 6, 2011 at 6:27 pm #1693373Dylan, thank you and I will take a look at that.
Ken, I am a moron when it comes to knots…I need tensioners in my life.
This is what I am using and I HATE them!

Feb 13, 2011 at 2:40 pm #1696212Well second time through and I think this is much better. Wow….Opions??
Feb 13, 2011 at 2:42 pm #1696215What I have I learned the second time doing this. That staking and re-staking makes a huge difference. To get a pitch taught, you need to keep re-positioning the stakes in order to get rid of the wrinkles. I have more practice to do though. Thanks for all the advice, I appreciate it guys!
Feb 13, 2011 at 2:57 pm #1696221Looks good Ken, I'll even be able to see you in the dark. HA! HA!
Feb 13, 2011 at 3:28 pm #1696236I picked the yellow color to be different. Yes, glow in the dark.
