hey all
So…my first pack when I was younger was a Dana Designs ArcFlex Terraplane. it was a great pack, but now…looking back it a very heavy and BIG pack. Recently I have heard alot of talk about the old Dana Deigns stuff and there outstanding reputation. I still have the pack and am just curious if people think its still a good pack? What makes it have such great reputations?

Thanks
Dan

they have simply AWESOME pockets on the back. other than that, they carry 50#'s ok. much more and the belt caves. don;t forget, you could get them in sizes and that was kinda trendy. mostly i suspect that at $369 (back then) if you paid that much, you's Better think it was good. i've had three. did the cdt with them. they were ok, but they never carry as good as the rep suggests might be the case.
push comes to shove, you can turn the butt end of the things inside out, and truss it up. this will keep the load up nice and high. that's their best mode.
there is better out there now for serious work, but, if you have a dana, and need to carry big whatever for the kids and all, you might as well keep it for those times when ul ain;t going to cut it.

cheers,
peter v.
