Nice product idea. It looks pretty tiny though. The 'twin' will probably be the way to go.

The 'models' feet are hitting the netting with him laying down and a sleeping bag would require quite a bit more length still. Also a sleeping pad will lift the sleeper up a couple inches, so you get even less effective length.

I bought the Bearpaw Minalmist 1 which weighs 9.5 oz. and sized long. That way it would accomodate me, I am 6'1 and use a 6'6 bag. The best part is that it costs $90.

I have something pretty much identical to these for the twin made by bearpaw tents (though unfortunately it did not end up gelling with the hexamid too perfectly {this is largely my fault from miscommunication}).

I found that this did not have adequate head and foot room so I sewed three extra guy points to the inside of the hexamid where it is re-enforced (2 for the external guylines and 1 for back pole of the tent), I then attached the inner to the hexamid using a safety pin for the 2 of them and a rope and carabiner for the other. This increased both the head and foot room pretty dramatically. I will post some pics next time I put it up.

I will write up a full review on it as soon as it shows up and I get a chance to put it into action. I will be putting it up against the HMG Echo 1 and the TarpTent Rainbow (the other two tents I have) so it should be very interesting.

On the scale, the HexaNet/Tarp obviously wins.

On the room inside, well, that will be what I will be interested in seeing.

Perhaps the thing I like about this setup the most is that it only requires a single pole. Granted the Rainbow does not require any (it uses its own) but most these other SUL tents require too poles – including the Lightheart Gear Solo – which I would buy in CF if I did not already have a grand in tents – sigh.

Anyway, just wanted to say I have bought one of these and very very much look forward to trying it out and pushing out reviews (blog/post/video) of it.

Well, it is suppose to rain 5-7 inches tonight here in the Redwoods… time to get outside and spend the night listening to the sound of rain on cuben fiber…
