RAB now makes a Vapour Rise jacket for women and it even has a hood! Wow! I’ve been looking for a lined Pertex Equilibrium jacket for years to replace my 1994 Marmot Driclime. The later Driclime models never compared to the earlier versions and trust me I know…I’ve owned or at least tried every model they made after the late 90’s. Anyone out there who uses the RAB Vapour-Rise?
Hi Beth, I’ve got some RAB Vapour Rise trousers and used to have one of their V.R. Trail tops (not a jacket). I am primarily a fell runner (live in England) and found the top too hot in anything other than very cold weather (it doesn’t get as cold over here as in N.America). I use the pants for walking when cold but they aren’t any good in the wet as they aren’t water resistant. As its very wet where we live I haven’t used them that much. Hope that helps
My dad uses a hooded jacket, loves it. Most summer backpacking in lower 48, it’s all he brings in addition to polypro T, and rain coat.
