Best UL Hauler Under 2.5 pounds and $200

I second the Quest. It is fairly light at 3 lb. 1 oz. I just bought one and will use it this coming season. I chose it because many places where I hike I have to use a bear canister and need both the volume and frame. Also has nice hip belt pockets.

I think the quest would be a good option as well. I use it for winter trips. I don't usually carry that much weight (45 lbs), but got stuck doing so on a trip when a friend over packed (I should have checked her pack prior to the trip!). The pack carried the weight well – although I use the womens pack since my torso is a bit smaller – which I think is a little lighter and smaller.

You could also try the Granite Gear Nimbus Meridian. You can take of the lid and trim it and I bet you could get it close to 2.5 lbs.
