Just wondering if you can buy a roll of tape for bonding sinylon in a similar way to the tape you can buy for bonding Cuben?
Jan 18, 2011 at 7:32 am #1685438The only thing that really bonds well to sil-nylon is silicone. But we have even tried silicone based adhesive tapes to try and have never really found any tape that bonds well to sil-nylon. Sil-net seam sealer will work to bond patches of sil-nylon to other pieces of sil-nylon (and we have used this for repairs to cuts or damaged material) but have never found an adequate tape. Sewing and then seam sealing has always been the preferred method with sil-nylon.
