Are the Komperdell C3 poles as strong as the Leki Ti poles? What about the quality of construction? Are they available without that little compass on top?

It doesn’t matter man! The question that you should be asking is which one is cheaper. I got the super expensive Leki poles on my AT trek and they worked just like the cheaper ones. What brakes or bends a pole is getting it stuck between rocks and then bending it or falling on it. These two occurences will brake the more expensive poles just as easy as the less expensive ones. Buy the $30 ones from sierra trading post and if they brake buy another pair. It’s still only $60.
