I can get a great deal on a returned pair of Arcteryx Rampart pants at a local gear shop, but the legs are about two inches too long for me.

I know nothing about sewing, does anyone know if I'd be able to get this material hemmed? It seems thin, but again, I know nothing about such matters. If I returned them I'd only be able to get store credit since they're a return, so I want to be as sure as possible.

Thanks!

Of course Mr. Eric had the answer to an Arcteryx question ;)

I kid of course Eric can always be counted on when i need of a answer to a clothing question. Good luck with the pants gotta love a sweet deal!!

I must admit i have pant envy as i put a crampon through the inner leg of my winter pants at knee hight Monday while climbing a gully on Mt. Adams in knee deep snow. Had a great time doing it but i hate spending $$$$ to replace gear as apposed to add to the collection.
