    Locale: North Cascades

    I live just south of the Pasayten Wilderness, which is now completely closed due to two rather large and scary fires…

    These two pictures were taken from my house about a month ago.

    Fortunately for my house, the fire tracked north. Unfortunately, it has gone right into Horseshoe Basin on the eastern edge of the Pasayten. This is what Horseshoe Basin was like in early June…
