Here goes.. First BPL post!!!:
I've been trying to replace my backpacking tent (5 pounds) with a different lightweight system. I've looked at tarps, tarptents, and now hammocks I am really intrigued with the idea of hanging! Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this specific model (http://www.eaglesnestoutfittersinc.com/double-nest-hammock.html) or any hammock used as a tent for backpacking. If i do buy one of these I plan on making a tarp to use as a rainfly as well as to use as my secondary shelter combined with a groundsheet if I find myself camping out above the treeline. Hoping to get some good feedback to help out quite possibly the most indecisive person on earth when it comes to buying new things!!!

Glad your trying to lighten up,
Regarding the ENO doublenest; it is more of a everyday type hammock that I would not take backpacking.
When I First started backpacking I took a ENO Singlenest on a three day summer trip in Northern Alabama and was not satisfied. Compared to other hammocks, Hennesy and Warbonnet for example(Check out Hammockforums.net), ENO hammocks are heavy and uncomfortable. They make you lay like a banana instead of flat.
Keep in mind that it may still be a decent option for shorter trips if you can comfortably sleep in one.

Thanks Sid! I have lounged around in a HH before and liked it a lot I just loved how cost efficient the Eno was (55$ at REI) I need to try sleeping in the ENO before i take it on a long trip. Looks like i have more researching to be done.. Thanks a lot!
