I’m not a beer drinker, but have seen some “mini-kegs” of German beer and I believe Foster’s Lager that appear to be 32 oz / 1L pop top cans, at stores that have a wide variety of beer. You might be able use one of these.

You’ll be surprised at the cans you find. Henie-Cans are fairly big and very strong (due to the ‘keg’ form).
Mike and Joshua, thanks for the tips. I rarely visit big liquor stores, but shall do so in the name of research (-: Google turned up a 1 quart fosters can, but it has a welded base and hence might be made of steel. Google also found this 32 oz Pilsner can, which appears to be aluminum. It is rather tall and thin. Would it would be practical to cook a dehydrated or freeze-dried dinner in it? I’ve been spoiled with the non-stick Ti pan.
Hey, I just wanted to pass this note along from the guys at TD. The cone comes packaged with a little twist tie… I took that twist tie off ‘before’ taking it out of the cup which allowed it to ‘spring open’.
Oh, and I did a quick burn with <0.7oz, no lid, 60 deg ambient, 2-cups cold tap water and high wind... it just reached true boil when the flame went out (I could peek in while burning and my breath made the flame flicker more than the wind did). Very promising, especially when I figure out how to lid it properly (foil lids are hard to make catch as I usually tuck them under the lip of the cup).

Smooth the edge of the Al foil over, then put your spork or spoon on top to hold it down.
cheers
