Thanks for posting some great photos David. I've spent many summers nearby there in and around the Dinkey Lakes, Dinkey Creek and Dinkey Dome, but I've never been there in the winter. If you have any other information about your trip I would be really interested (where you started, camped, your gear etc). Thanx again.

Thanks Phillip.

Andrew,

This was my first time snowshoeing in the area. It was day hike with a few people from a Fresno based Meetup group. We started at the lodge/bar at Lakeshore and headed for Kaiser Peak. It was a rough go breaking fresh snow. I went up a few miles and 2k+ feet and decided to eat lunch and then turn back around 1. It was snowing pretty good and my ride had already turned around. A few people went further but no one made it all the way to Kaiser Peak. It's a nice place to snowshoe if you are looking for a challenge. I would recommend it.

Thanks for the trip info David, much appreciated. It sounds like a fun place for a winter trip.
