North Face Tent III booties do it for me. Warmer than my boots and with only a pair of socks. Still dam warm with no socks at low 30's Picked them up for $45 and they weigh the same as my Crocs. (10oz)

The insulation on the bottom is a bit thin. I added a Thermo Shim I received when I bought my Garmont shoes. Amazing!! Also, some say the bottoms are too fragile. They worked great for my around camp. Wouldn't hike with them but great for a pee.

my 2 cents

Highly recommend the Feathered Friends down booties. What’s great about them is that the down ‘inner’ is removable, so you can walk around camp in the down booties with shell, then remove the shell to sleep in the booties only so you don’t get your sleeping bag/quilt wet/dirty.

Believe BPL’s Ben Smith also makes down booties, and has started making a removable shell as well. Check his stuff out at Goosefeet.

+1 feathered friends booties, I got these last year for a relatively early start on the Appalachian Trail, and loved them. I normally don't use camp shoes, but when it's really cold, snowy out it's very nice to be able to slip the down sock part into the eVent shell and walk around. I wish they were a bit less bulky, but that's sort of inherent in booties that loft well like these do.
