La Sportiva Launches Ultra Light RT Ski Binding For Winter 2010/11
I wonder who else will come out with a RT tech binding. Black Diamond? G3?
And how will Dynafit respond to this new competition? The article doesn't say it, but I heard from the Dynafit rep in my area that that the patent for these bindings finally expired.
Nov 27, 2010 at 10:51 pm #1668520Look at wildsnow.com.There are already a bunch of european companies making tec bindings. G3 came out with one last year.
Nov 29, 2010 at 8:40 am #1669007Nov 30, 2010 at 8:51 am #1669342at the same price as the most expensive AT skis and boots I'm not sure if these will sell well.
Nov 30, 2010 at 5:43 pm #1669513Bill, $$700 uberlight tech bindings have been selling very well amongst the rando race crowd for over a decade. They've been bleeding over into fast ski mountaineering as well, for the well healed.
However, I think a binding with the features and weight of the Speed or Vertical lines would sell the most, especially if someone managed to undercut Dynafits pricing. I'd be in line, as I'm still skiing 3 pins mainly because they're 50 bucks a set, rather than 300.
