I'm interested in a very light hooded windbreaker, preferably with no pockets and no zipper. A tightly woven and calendared 20d nylon with no membrane would be ideal. I'm considering making one from Momentum, but I'd like to know if there is anything like this on the market (and I don't know how much of a wind barrier Momentum really is). Has anyone seen anything like this?

The Liberty Ridge Pullover has no hood and I have concerns about the windproofness of Momentum.

Does anyone have experience with Momentum in an application like this? Is it an effective wind barrier?

I'm also interested in any first-hand observations about Montbell's Tachyon anorak, Camp's Magic anorak, or any similar hooded wind jacket.

I have made a number of items using Momentum fabric including Liberty Ridge pants and wind shirt. It is a tightly woven fabric that is definitely calendared on one side and is windproof enough for my needs, including cycling.

Regarding a hood … there are folks who have done nice jobs coming up with their own hood patterns but I'm in the camp with those who feel that a hood option would be a big plus for all of Ayce's jacket kits.
