Does anyone have any info on when the new Event mitten shells cited on Ryan’s Backcountry website:

will be released? According to the article, they were supposed to come out Spring 2006.

I think they are coming out at the same time the packs are. (Never) I remember seeing pictures of the packs along with specs about 2 years ago in Backpackers Gear Guide. BMW must be subcontracting the packs and mitts out to Light is Right. Also,their website is in need of a serious update.
Ron Bell of http://www.mountainlaureldesigns.com will also be releasing eVent rain mitts. I will be testing them shortly. It is anybody’s guess which will come to market first! Nevertheless, it will be nice to finally have some breathable rain mitt options.
