I could have sworn I read on BPL where WM was coming out with a new 5-0z down bootie, a bit lighter then the "standard" bootie and quite a bit lighter then their Expedition bootie.
Has anyone else heard anything about this? I need to know before I decide to buy, thanks!
Nov 17, 2010 at 11:13 am #1665278Yeah, it's coming out in Jan. 2011. After doing some cost calculations, and being too impatient for their release (as I need booties for the upcoming season) I went ahead with goosefeet down socks. Just got my downsocks in today, and so far I'm very happy
But anyhow, here is the info on the flash bootie

Nov 17, 2010 at 6:15 pm #1665465do they offer any overboot for it? I like the feathered friend setup w/ bootie and overboot, something for around camp in the snow
Nov 17, 2010 at 6:20 pm #1665469according to this site only 3 oz and looks like a sleeping/tent only bootiehttp://www.hikelight.com/clothing.html
Nov 18, 2010 at 9:28 am #1665637That's what it looks like to me, at 3 oz it cannot have a very thick CCF "sole" but there is something on the bottom so it might work for light use around camp & late night bathroom calls which is what I am looking for.
Nov 18, 2010 at 12:36 pm #1665687Take a look at Goose Feet: http://goosefeet.webs.com/products.htm
My down booties plus waterproof over-booties (which you can wear to go outside in rain or snow) weigh 3.7 oz.Nov 18, 2010 at 1:59 pm #1665725^ Mary- those look good :)
