My every day boots are Danners and I have to wear a size 12 U.S. so I can fit my orthodics in side. I tried on some Tamiks, I think thats what they were called, today and I had to go to a size 13. I also tried on some Columbia boots and the 13's were a bit to small.

Ah. Sorry, can't help. I have some winter 9s, a wee bit too small for you!

    Doug,

I think Jack is asking for suggestions on winter boots you have used, so if you have some in size 9 or whatever, let him know your experience with them…

I have a pair of Keen Growlers and have found them great for general winter use in temps down to at least -10F (with thick wool socks and liners) – probably lower in fact, although not for long stretches. I suppose I could push them farther by adding a VBL layer. They work great with my snowshoes (Northern Lite Elites), and they've received good reviews here by others as well. Salomon Tundras also got a great review on this site – they are quite a bit warmer, so depends on your application.
