Max Burton is the brand – they are out of Korea (kovea?) and the mix is: 20% Propane, at least 60% Isobutane, and the remainder <20% n-Butane. They have been working great on my snow peak stoves and are nearly half the price of most other canisters in that size around here. They seem to stock them pretty regularly in out on the Kitsap Peninsula and around Tacoma.

The Kovea canisters are made for them by a third party Dae Ryuk Can Co in Korea – who also do many of the other brands of canisters, such as MSR etc.

I would love to know how well these canisters go inverted: do they block up the stove? Some do, some don't. Beware cheap Chinese canisters: very dirty fuel.

Cheers

"Beware cheap Chinese canisters: very dirty fuel."

Do we spot those by brand, or otherwise?

I had not checked this yet, but the weather is getting cold enough to dig out the remoters now. Thus far, the canisters do fine inverted on an MSR WindPro. In fact, they run better this way.
