“Brunton is pleased to introduce their latest innovation in liquid-fuel stoves, the Vapor-AF (All Fuel). A compact multi-fuel stove that folds for easy transportation and storage, the Vapor-AF will operate on virtually anything flammable, including white gas, butane, kerosene, diesel, rapeseed oil and more. Users can simply switch from one fuel to another by rotating a cup containing fuel jets on the underside of the stove. Estimated SRP is $139 US.”

“The Optimus Nova, a popular expedition stove for the past five years, will be replaced by the Brunton Vapor AF ($140),
which adds the option of using butane or just about any liquid fuel. This should compete well with the Primus Omnifuel
for travel to remote locations.”

Backpacker Editor, John Dorn, with Brunton’s product specialist, Mike Lilygren, who mentions the Vapor AF towards the end of the interview:

Does anyone have any other information about this stove, such as its weight and BTU output?

Interesting… I just listened to the podcast and the Brunton guy discusses portable electric stoves in a vague way. he talks about the trend towards portable electronics coming into the woods with people as well as lights and stoves. He alludes to a universal replacement for batteries and stove fuel. I wonder if they are looking at solar charging or some kind of a hydrogen fuel cell powering everything…
