I have a pair of mittens that convert to gloves with no fingertips (glo-mitts). The mitt folds back to expose the gloves. I've never found anything better for keeping my hands warm when I need exposed fingertips for high dexterity tasks like tying knots.
The problem with the ones I have is they are water resistant as opposed to WATER PROOF. When I hike in the rain with hiking poles, the gloves eventually soak through and are very uncomfortable. I've looked around, and can't find any glo-mitts that are waterproof. Anybody know where I can get them?
