Tom Cohen at Ursack hasn’t given up yet—he’s working on and receiving input for a newer, more improved Ursack that would strengthen the ends.
I use my Ursack (when not going SUL and/or on group trips), depending where I am, w/ and w/o the alum. insert in the Sierra. No problems—but then again I don’t camp in the Bubb’s Creek area or Lyell Cyn. —I’m so over that.
