I'd like to do about a two week trip, probably out of Bettles, of backpacking and packrafting.
I'm a long ago kayaker (Grand, Salmon, Stanislaw, Arkansas, etc) and a current avid backpacker. The water skills are rusty, but pretty well burned in.
If a trip is doable with minimal packraft skills and rented gear I'd go that route. For instances, just flatwater drifts.
Otherwise I'll probably buy packrafting gear for local training , plus a couple of shakedown cruises.
Unless I can hook up with a private group, which I would prefer, I realize I'm constrained to "tours".
Suggestions on resources, books, routes, forums, experiences, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
