I performed a not so scientific experiment
with a marmot ion and red ledge thunderlight parka with full ventilation.
Just walking constantly around my house @ 70 degrees for 15 minutes, the marmot ion was never uncomfortable where as the red ledge even with full ventilation was quickly uncomfortable.
I was hoping to use a fully ventilated jacket as a windbreaker too.
Hardly scientific, but although in BPL tests give ventilation high regard, I’d rather go with the marmot ion for wind protection.
Does anyone else have experience with a fully ventilated rain jacket vs. pertex wind jacket for wind protection?
I think I’ll stick with my marmot ion, marmot essence anorak combo.
