In the Five Ponds area of the Adirondacks. I was thinking of doing it for my first solo trip of any great length, over Columbus Day weekend.

I have canoed the area a bit and it's beautiful wilderness, but it has a tendency to be boggy in places. I also notice that there are MANY stream crossings on the trail, which could get messy. It's a new trail, I believe the first hikers walked it in 2008.
I love fall in the ADK!
