Now that my TAR Ultralight has delaminated recently, I’m looking for a new short self-inflatable. If I would go for a torsosized pad, the Torsolite is an obvious choice. Since I’m not absolutely sure to go to a torsosized pad, I’m also considering the more classic short inflatables. A TAR prolite 3 is an easy choice, but I was wondering if someone has any experience with a POE Maxlite 1.0 or a Montbell UL 120 and how it compares with the TAR?

Perhaps I could put it this way: is the Maxlite the longer version of the Torsolite? The fabric seems to be the same but what about the foam pattern?
No one ?
I use the POE Uberlite self-inflating pad. I think its great, comfortable, light, packs down very small (included stuff sack a bit too big actually). Not for the super-broad though, as its quite narrow, and easy to roll off if you move a lot when you sleep. I also own a prolite 4 regular, which is very comfortable, but a bit on the heavy side and packs too large for my pack…reserve its use for fall/winter only. Maxlite is a great pad too, and probably cheaper than Thermarest’s. Haven’t seen anything of Montbell’s pads. Hope that helps!
