Sep 2, 2010 at 9:55 pm #1642715How much wind and snow can a silnylon duomid take?

I can't remember if you're in Melbourne, but feel free to drop me a line if you want to see mine set up.

The quote below is posted on the Supermid page on MLD's website. I would think that the Duomid would do even better than the Supermid. Andrew Skurka is using the solomid on his Alaska-Yukon tour. The smaller the panels, the better it will handle snow and wind.
"MLD Pyramids were used by Erin And Bretwood Higman for their 4,000+ mile hike from Seatlle to the end of Alaska. groundtruthtrekking.org
We have included their 300+ nights of living in MLD SuperMids feedback into our 2010 SUPERMID to make MLD Pyramids strong for all types of weather. See their blog for a pic of the Silnylon Pyramid still standing under 400lbs of snow buried to the top!"Sep 8, 2010 at 11:11 am #1643932Here's a link to the picture.
Sep 9, 2010 at 9:25 am #1644178That's a bit over the top, eh?
Impressive shelter, to stay standing under all that… wow.
