My recent trip to Shasta:
Aug 27, 2010 at 9:03 pm #1641137Since you went to the summit from Horse Camp, how prepared were you to deal with an unexpected storm around the summit? I've been pinned down up there for a couple of hours.

Aug 27, 2010 at 9:27 pm #1641141Prepared: Extra layers, UL sleeping bag, down jacket, and a bivy.
I've been on the hill in early spring/winter and was aware of the adverse weather possibilities.
I've been very busy, but am in the process of compiling a gear list (as stated on my site). Wish I could have included it sooner but I would like it to be accurate and thorough. Forgive me, as this is my first attempt at a blog and I am still figuring things out.
Sometimes life gets in the way :)
